The Challenge: The "Biofilm Trap" in Low Occupancy

During a period of lower occupancy, a high-end Nevada resort discovered a spike in Legionella counts during routine quarterly testing. The resort's massive plumbing infrastructure and aesthetic "rain-style" showers created a perfect environment for biofilm to grow in stagnant lines (dead legs).

The resort faced a nightmare scenario:

  • The Risk: A public health notification would lead to mass cancellations and devastating PR.

  • The Limitation: Conventional "thermal shock" (cranking hot water temperatures) was damaging the hotel's expensive designer fixtures and risked scalding guests, while heavy chlorination created a chemical smell that ruined the luxury guest experience.

  • PurGuard360 (Medical Shower Handle): Used in the resort’s world-class spa and fitness center. The ergonomic design fit perfectly with the resort’s aesthetic while providing a validated barrier against waterborne bacteria.
     

  • AquaGuard Pro (Under-Sink Ultra-Filtration): Installed in the resort’s gourmet restaurants and high-traffic bars. This ensured that ice machines and drinking water dispensers were compliant with U.S. EPA WaterSense and NSF standards, protecting guests from ingestion risks.
