The Challenge: A Race Against Shutdown

A prominent Florida nursing home faced a critical crisis: three confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease and a looming state-mandated shutdown. The facility’s existing copper-silver ionization system had failed, as it couldn't penetrate deep-seated biofilm within the building’s complex "dead leg" plumbing.

  1. Evacuate all residents to perform a massive, high-cost chemical flush and pipe replacement (a process taking months).

  2. Find an immediate solution to stop the bacteria from reaching residents at the moment of contact allowing the facility work continuation in a safe way​

The Result:

The facility met state safety requirements within 48 hours, avoiding a total evacuation. The POU filters provided continuous, 24/7 protection without the need for harsh chemicals or resident relocation.
