What is EPA WaterSense certification? 

An EPA WaterSense-certified filter is a point-of-use water device that meets independently verified water-efficiency standards established through the EPA WaterSense program


To qualify, filters must:

  • Be independently tested by third-party laboratories

  • Meet strict flow-rate thresholds, typically around 2.0 GPM or lower, depending on fixture type, with some state rules going stricter, such as California's 1.8 GPM standard. 

  • Maintain spray force and coverage standards under EPA test protocols

  • Demonstrate consistent performance across production batches


WaterSense labeling is widely referenced in federal procurement guidelines and green building frameworks, including LEED-aligned specifications.

Why water efficiency requirements matter more than ever?
